PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate ₹7,823 Crore Development Push in Hyderabad Visit, Marking First Telangana Trip in Third Term

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Hyderabad on May 10, marking his first Telangana visit in his third term. He will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects worth ₹7,823 crore, including industrial smart cities, textile parks, railway lines, highways, and healthcare facilities, alongside a major BJP public rally and security arrangements across Hyderabad.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Hyderabad on May 10 in his first official trip to Telangana since the commencement of his third term, with a comprehensive agenda centred on infrastructure expansion, industrial growth, healthcare advancement, and political mobilisation ahead of crucial local electoral contests.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects collectively valued at approximately ₹7,823 crore, spanning industrial, transport, energy, and healthcare sectors.

A major highlight of the visit will be the foundation stone laying for a ₹2,360 crore integrated industrial smart city spread across 3,245 acres at Zaheerabad, developed under the Hyderabad–Nagpur Industrial Corridor, aimed at strengthening regional manufacturing and logistics capabilities.

In Warangal, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the PM MITRA Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, developed at an investment of nearly ₹1,695 crore. The project is projected to attract investments exceeding ₹6,000 crore and generate large-scale employment opportunities in the textile and apparel industry.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate key railway and petroleum infrastructure projects, including a modern petroleum storage and distribution terminal in Hyderabad and the third railway line between Kazipet and Vijayawada, constructed at an estimated cost of ₹1,243 crore. In addition, national highway projects worth approximately ₹3,175 crore in Mahabubnagar district will be launched virtually.

At the Parade Grounds, the Prime Minister will address a public meeting organised by the Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party has described the visit as a significant political show of strength, mobilising nearly two lakh participants, particularly from Hyderabad and the undivided Ranga Reddy districts.

To ensure large-scale participation, the state unit has arranged four special trains from Kagaznagar, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, and Peddapalli, along with approximately 3,000 Telangana State Road Transport Corporation buses. The event is being viewed as an early launch platform for the party’s campaign strategy for the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.

In view of the Prime Minister’s visit, Telangana authorities and the police administration have intensified security arrangements and imposed restrictions on drones, paragliders, and microlight aircraft across key regions, including Begumpet, Madhapur, and Secunderabad.

The visit underscores a convergence of major infrastructure expansion and heightened political activity in Telangana, setting the tone for both developmental acceleration and intensified electoral engagement in the state.
